They work consistent with the ‘no frills’ concept and are therefore also called price fighters or budget airlines. This suggests that overhead costs are kept as low as possible and additional services like meals and entertainment aren’t included within the price. Hand baggage is allowed but must meet specific requirements (dimensions and or weight), for hold baggage you usually need to pay extra. If the smaller airport isn’t near your destination, you’ll probably need to rent a car or a minimum of arranging some sort of transportation. This involves extra costs, but you don’t need to see this as wasted money.

Service

The service offered by low-cost airlines is a smaller amount than you’ll get from a standard airline. You are doing not need to calculate a meal or drink, and therefore the chairs and legroom are minimal. This doesn’t mean that the service is terrible, but less luxury would be a far better description. Low-cost airlines do offer products and services, but always for a fee.

Distance airport-city

Low-cost airlines often use small airports that are located far outside the town. this is often cheaper for them, but less practical for travelers because it takes longer to arrive within the city. Before you book an airline ticket, it’s knowing check exactly where you’re flying

Extra costs

Low-cost airlines regularly offer tickets at floor prices. Unfortunately, these aren’t always the costs that you simply need to pay. Extra costs for taxes, surcharges, payment methods, and more can increase the worth considerably. The increased price also applies to traditional airlines, but a lesser extent.

Most low-cost airlines limit you just one carry-on and one personal item, such as a handbag, baby bag, or laptop bag. Each airline has its own set of restrictions, and if you’re not cautious, your “personal item” may wind up becoming a coat! Cheap flight has made travel more accessible to those on a budget, but that doesn’t mean it’s all sunshine and flowers. Make sure you know exactly what you’re paying for (and what you’re not!) before you buy your ticket. Surprises are fun, but they’re not so much fun when they entail unexpected travel costs.
